5/6/2023 0 Comments Little miss bimbo![]() ![]() As criticism mounted over Nineland's overly pink designs and lack of versatility, so did the shutdown from the staff. Others, such as blogger Echo, went as far as calling it a "pink-bow dictature". For her scathing blog entries (among others), Gossip Bimbo got sued by Ma Bimbo's staff and no longer had the right to post pictures of the game in her blog. This re-use drove many players crazy to the point one of the most prominent critics Gossip Bimbo wrote on her blog that the game is a "delirium of bows" and even nicknamed Ma Bimbo "the pink-bow land of happiness" (believe it or not, this nickname stings more in French: "le pays du bonheur à noeuds roses"). A league was even formed against one of the repetitive outfits: the "pink bow" Nineland continuously re-uses. These critics bemoaned Nineland's lack of originality and regularly pointed out how unvarying the new designs were. Though most players like Nineland's designs, she also has gained a community of (dedicated or casual) critics. The design of everything in the game is done by graphic artist Nineland (nicknamed "Princess Nine" by her colleagues). To retain loyal members, Ma Bimbo staffsupdates the game every week with new clothes to purchase for your bimbo. Exclusive communities where you need an invitation to get into (and therefore befriend one of the members) also appeared as well as open communities accepting everyone.Īs previously stated, Ma Bimbo can get really boring and repetitive. ![]() Though the competitions dominated the forum, there were also chill sub-forums for members to talk about their other hobbies/personal lifestyles and create communities around it (tomboy community, mothers' community, year of birth communities etc). Seeing the growth of the forum, Ma Bimbo staff introduced competitions within the forum such as "Bimbo of the week" which is a popularity contest (the top 3 bimbos of the week get money and prizes) or design/fashion competitions. Therefore, because everyone has to wait for various reasons, the forum of Ma Bimbo quickly became popular. Similarly, if you have reached the latest levels available, you need to wait weeks before getting new levels (Ma Bimbo adds around 10 new levels per year). It could be because you need to wait days to level up as you don't have enough money to purchase stuffs and don't want to buy credits. You can get these bimbos d'or through your Bimbo's job (you get access to new jobs every time you level up), doing games (completing puzzles or through a scratch card game) or by purchasing credits at the store.Īs fun as it sounds, the game can get really boring once you're stuck between 2 levels. To finish these tasks you need money (aka "bimbos d'or"). So how does this game work? You start off as a basic Bimbo and to level up you need to finish tasks involving cliché bimbo stuffs such as getting a hot (or, sometimes, a sugar daddy) boyfriend (whose name is a pun on famous celebrities such as Leonardo DiCarpaccio, Will Snif or George Cloned) or ditching him, getting plastic surgery (mainly breast augmentation/reduction, lip injections or rhinoplasty), going to the spa for treatments (tanning or exfoliation, depending on the level) or makeup, go shopping, get an haircut etc. However, with such a concept, target audience and popularity, the game was also highly criticized by the French media for promoting the use of plastic surgery and dieting as well as pushing an 'ideal' body image to impressionable young girls and connecting it to success in life. Though the community has dwindled over the years (now I believe the community only counts a few thousand players), at its peak (2008-2012), Ma Bimbo was the shit. It used to have a US version called and later but the website was closed as it never took off. ![]() Since its launch, Ma Bimbo has been exported to 7 European countries (UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and Russia) and Brazil. This game gathers all types of people, from pre-teen and teen girls to 50+ years old adult women as well as a tiny minority of men. With over 21 million+ accounts registered on the website in span of 13 years (note: Ma Bimbo's staff doesn't delete abandoned accounts), Ma Bimbo is one of the biggest online simulation game for girls in France. Created in 2007, Ma Bimbo (French for My Bimbo) is a French online simulation game which parodies the concept of a "bimbo" and is mainly geared at young girls and teenagers. ![]()
